Whether you are looking to take a break from the parks and shoot a round, or you really came to play, Orlando is a golfer’s paradise. You’ll find a range of terrains, designs and fees. Walt Disney World offers five championship Golf Courses and other excellent public courses abound.

Walt Disney World Golf 

The five championship Disney courses are accessible to Disney guests and to other golf fans. Three of these courses were part of the PGA Tour for 42 years and one is a 9-hole walking course. The carts at several of the courses have GPS units on them showing diagrams of every hole along with the yardage. The Walt Disney golf courses are among the best Orlando golf courses. Palm Golf Course

Disney’s Palm Golf Course was completely redesigned by Arnold Palmer Design Company during the summer of 2013, which included building new green complexes, new shaped tees, and a new bunker design that has modernized the historic golf course.

The 18-hole championship course features shimmering lakes, palm trees, tropical sands, and sloping greens. It is rated 4 stars by Golf Digest. It includes 9 holes with water hazards and 59 bunkers that provide plenty of challenges to seasoned pros and novices alike.

Lake Buena Vista Golf Course

This classic country-club style course winds through pastel villas, palmettos, fine forests, and sparkling lakes. The golf course has hosted the PGA Tour, the LPGA Tour and USGA events. The 18-hole course was built from the ideas of Joe Lee, with notable features such as elevated bunkered greens that focus on accurate approach shots. The golf course is certified by Audubon International as a Cooperative Wildlife Sanctuary. Golf Digest rated this golf course 4 stars.

Magnolia Golf Course

Magnolia Golf Course is the longest among the golf courses at Walt Disney World. The golf course,named after the magnolia tree features spacious greens, elevated tees, and challenging water hazards. But while the wide fairways invite you to hit the ball long, you must be aware that 11 of the holes have water hazards with 97 bunkers dotting the landscape. Rated 4 stars by Golf Digest, Magnolia Golf Course is a paradise for serious golfers.

Osprey Ridge Golf Course

Osprey Ridge Golf Course reopened in July 2014 as a part of the Four Seasons resort. This golf course is a challenge to golfers beginning at the first tee through the tropical landscape. Osprey Ridge Golf Course was designed by Tom Fazio as a contrasting extra-long links style course. It features dramatically elevated greens and tees, nine water holes and more than 70 bunkers strategically placed throughout the course. Golf Digest has recognized Osprey Ridge as one of the best courses in Florida.

Oak Trail Golf Course

Oak Trail Golf Course is a family-friendly retreat that is home to a 9-hole, par-36 walking course. Featuring rolling greens with exciting challenges, it gives the opportunity to test your skills with the holes that range from 132 to 517 yards from the white tees, with some holes precariously routed around a beautiful and deep canal and a glistening pond. Being a walking course only, golf carts are not allowed on it.

Disney’s Fantasia Gardens Miniature Golf Courses

This mini golf course is based on the animated film “Fantasia,” which features 18-holes of interactive obstacles lifted from the movie’s famous scenes. The course is open from 10 a.m. until 11 p.m. daily.  Fantasia Gardens is located within the Epcot Resort area.

Disney’s Winter Summerland Miniature Golf Courses

The golf course offers two miniature golf courses. The winter course has 18 holes of fun as you make your way to the North Pole. The summer course has 18 holes of fun in the sun with sandcastles, surfboards, and a melting snowman. The golf course is open 10 a.m. to 11 p.m. daily.

Grand Cypress Golf Resort

Grand Cypress Golf Resort is a masterpiece of Scottish-styled links that adds an extra dimension of play to Orlando golf scene with its steeper and more challenging slopes and bunkers. The course features 18 holes of Jack Nicklaus designed golf.

Set in the middle of an open meadow, the golf course is a tribute to the famed Old Course at St. Andrews, Scotland. It is complete with double greens, gorse mounds, stone walls and bridges, pot bunkers and burns as deep as 12 feet - all in the spirit of the Scottish original. While there’s very little water on the New Course, but that which is there is very challenging. There are very few trees within the interior of the course, creating generous landing areas.

Shingle Creek Golf Club 

This golf course is golf reinvented, with the classic touch of the legendary Arnold Palmer. This Palmer legacy is a handcrafted course with design features that are reminiscent of the finest classics in the world. It features elevated greens and strategically placed bunkers surrounded by enchanting flora and wildlife.

Waldorf Astoria Golf Club

The Waldorf Astoria Golf Course uses the land’s natural contours for this meticulously designed course that was created by the famous golf course architect Rees Jones. The 18-hole masterpiece pulls together elements from many of the world’s classic courses, including those designed centuries ago. The layout blends its traditional character with the endless subtleties for a challenging experience. Jones created a golf course of great integrity and environmental consciousness that folds seamlessly into the terrain, which makes it appear to have been there forever.

The Par 72 golf course is enhanced by the natural elements such as the five-tee system and majestic cypress lining the fairways.

Orange County National

The Orange County National Golf Center and Lodge offers one of the best golf courses in Orlando, Florida, featuring the finest course layouts, conditions, and facilities.
Orange County National Golf offers visitors 36 holes per day, first-class instructions, hours of range time and memories of sharing good times with friends.

Eagle Creek Golf Club

Eagle Creek Golf Club is an 18-hole golf course in Orlando, Florida. With a Par 73, the golf course measures 7,198 yards, with five part-5 holes and more than ninety bunkers. The course is public and features a 14,000-square-foot clubhouse with a pro shop and a 120-seat restaurant.

The golf course is an Emerson International development that was designed by Ron Garl and Howard Swan. It is the first golf course in the state to make use of Mini Verde Grass on its green. Eagle Creek is home to Graves Golf Academy.

Opened for business in 2004, Eagle Greek is named by Travel + Leisure Golf Magazine as one of the best courses to open in Florida since 2000. Golf’s Digest gave Eagle Creek a rating of 4.5 stars, the highest rating ever awarded to a Florida Golf course and makes it one of the best golf courses in Orlando.

Eagle Creek hosted in January 2005 a PGA Pro-Pro Series tournament. It was also named the host site for the 2006 Florida Open.
